Area Description
Illovo is a relatively upmarket suburb of Sandton, Johannesburg and is home to many thriving businesses. There is a residential component to the suburb however commercial real estate is the thriving sector which acts as the driving force behind the suburb. Schools
Illovo is home to a number of excellent schools, ranging from pre-primary schools to preparatory schools to high schools. The school was established in 1941 by the Marist Brothers, and is a proud Roman Catholic school.

Safety
Being in a relatively upmarket area of Johannesburg and surrounded by suburbs of the likes, Illovo is somewhat of a safe area by South African standards. Walking around alone during the day is said to be safe however during the evening it is recommended to move in a group.
