Area Description

Illovo is a relatively upmarket suburb of Sandton, Johannesburg and is home to many thriving businesses. There is a residential component to the suburb however commercial real estate is the thriving sector which acts as the driving force behind the suburb. The nature of the area is therefore comprised of many offices buildings and corporate office parks. The school was established in 1941 by the Marist Brothers, and is a proud Roman Catholic school.

Safety

Being in a relatively upmarket area of Johannesburg and surrounded by suburbs of the likes, Illovo is somewhat of a safe area by South African standards. Walking around alone during the day is said to be safe however during the evening it is recommended to move in a group.
